Job Description

We are now looking for a group manager for our Technical and Service department. Do you have a strong interest in technical management and property operations? Your mission

As a group manager, you will be responsible for the operational property management and the leadership of a team consisting of 10-16 operations technicians and technical specialists. You will ensure efficient operation of both technically advanced buildings and older properties, with a focus on energy efficiency and sustainability. Your mission includes developing work methods, routines, and following up on supervision and corrective actions.

The position will collaborate with key personnel within the Property and Project departments to deliver high-quality solutions and improve the customer experience. Furthermore, you will report to the head of the Technical & Service department and be based at KTH Campus.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead change initiatives and implement new working methods through clear communication and present leadership that creates engagement and participation in the processes.
  • Plan, prioritize, and follow up on both operational and strategic goals.
  • Actively work to coach, support, and provide feedback to promote both high performance and a good work climate within your team.
  • Develop and implement work routines and operation and maintenance plans for progress and management processes.
  • Contribute to the basis for goals, budgets, and performance follow-up.
  • Responsible for work environment, salary development, and onboarding of new employees.
  • Conduct safety rounds.
  • Be responsible for procurement of materials and services within property management in consultation with the department head.
  • Utilize the opportunities of digitization within technical management and implement them in practice to contribute to the development of Akademiska Hus's mission.

Your contribution

To succeed as a group manager, a present and active leadership is required, as well as a willingness to develop both yourself and others in a technically demanding environment. The technical development improves our working methods and promotes sustainability, something you as a leader will utilize.

With a communicative, clear, and delegating leadership, you create direction and good conditions for performance and well-being. You set challenging goals, are responsible for follow-up, and coordinate efforts while giving your employees trust, coaching, and support in their path forward. Furthermore, you are skilled at identifying problems and driving change to ensure that both the team and the organization develop.

To succeed in the role of group manager, we see that you have:

  • Previous experience working in the real estate industry.
  • Good understanding of the processes within technical management and use this when leading effective working methods, implementing development initiatives, and ensuring that conditions exist for your group to perform sustainably.
  • Good financial understanding of budgets, forecasts, and follow-up.
  • Very good computer skills.
  • Fluent in Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is advantageous if you as a group manager also have:

  • A post-secondary education with a focus on technology or property management.
  • Experience in a leading role as a supervisor or manager.
  • Experience working customer-focused.
  • Experience from technically advanced buildings.
  • Experience in development work and implementation of new working methods.
